A surprising number of songs about a specific girl requires just three chords. Is it a three chord song if there are additional chords (beyond the fundamental three) that are really easy, like A minor and C7? On Thursday April 16th, 2020 we will explore these songs as part of this weekly series for voice and ukulele.
To join this online interactive (virtual) song session, please register in advance.
- You are most welcome to join the meeting BEFORE the start time of 3 pm EDT so as to get comfortable in the virtual environment and do some checks.
- Do a sound check on your microphone and speakers. Check with someone else also in ZOOM.
- Do a light check: ensure that light falls on your face and not behind your head onto your screen. Make sure you can see yourself AND your instrument.
- For the best quality experience, use as big and as powerful a computer device as possible. In general, the bigger your computer/communication device, the better you will enjoy it. In other words, not on your smartphone or iPad but on a laptop or computer with webcam and microphone.
- You want to see and hear as well as be seen and heard. Two way communication!
The list of songs for Thursday 16th April at 3 pm EDT has grown considerably. We will stick to those that are three chords.
- One asterisk means a little more than three chords.
- Two asterisks mean a lot more than three chords and may be challenging.
- Unlinked songtitles means we need to find song sheets for them.
- Bolded titles link to songsheets that are easily transposable.
No doubt it will be impossible to do them all in the one-hour session. We will begin with the ones that are most familiar of course.
