Besides playing a pineapple (shaped) ukulele and a lute-shaped ukulele made from spalted mango (wood), I do believe there are plenty of songs to do with fruit. On 22nd October 2020, we explore three chord songs in this category. As usual, register in advance (well before 2 pm EDT) to get the Zoom meeting ID and link, unless you have registered previously.
BREAKING NEWS!
This session will be extended beyond the usual one-hour cut-off BECAUSE of the HUGE interest in songs about FRUIT.
We welcome volunteers to lead individual songs while everyone else is muted. We aim to fit up to 10 songs for this one-hour session in Zoom. Once the ten is reached, you can join by sharing an existing song through tagging (sequential sharing of a song) by contacting the performer listed.
Please fill out the Google Form to request a song to perform. The line-up is determined before the session begins.
You’re welcome to enter Zoom at any time but we mute everyone and open the session promptly at 3 pm EDT with a short warm-up followed by our sunglasses ritual.
DON’T FORGET YOUR SUNGLASSES!
Below are suggestions, by no means exhaustive or exemplary. Bolded titles link to song sheets that can be easily transposed. Performers are encouraged to transpose and format to their liking and share with participants. Number of chords are in brackets at the end of the entry.
