Join us on Thursday 4th November 2021 for songs that are easy to play and sing but require many chords, a lot more than three chords. Join our Facebook public group to see the latest posts and interact with others. Bring a friend. See you in Zoom before 3 pm EST (7 pm GMT)! After the session ends and the recording stops, you’re welcome to hang out and choose a breakout room of your choice.
We can fit up to 10 songs for this one-hour session. Performers have 30 seconds to introduce the song verbally before the screen is shared. Every session is recorded so you can review and learn from your performance. Check out the themes for upcoming song sessions and sign up in advance so you have time to prepare.
Please note that the UK and the EU countries change their clocks on 31st October 2021 but the US doesn’t change until 7th November 2021. This is the only week in which we are only four hours apart between the UK and the East Coast USA.
As we have learned from a previous song session, the number of chords does not necessarily indicate what’s required to play a song. Today we appreciate songs that have a lot of chords but are not so difficult to execute, maybe because the chords are easy to finger and switch, or the chord progression is repetitive etc.
Can you think of any you’d like to share? Fill out the google form to submit your request. We are looking for help in indexing the video and sharing screen/scrolling the song sheets.
Bonus Workshop
For this session, we will also give a workshop on how to format your song sheet for the best readability — the key to readability. And what’s involved in sharing screen and scrolling. Neil (UK) and Anne (MA) will provide guidelines for performers on how to format and submit song sheets and for scrollers on best practices to share screen and scroll. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn!
