To conclude the year 2021 on Thursday 30th December, we will celebrate with a Ukulele Jeopardy Game with five categories including Beatles and chords. Promptly at 3 pm EST we will warm up with a short tutorial on how to play the Jeopardy Game theme tune “Think!” Note: You don’t have to participate in a team. If you choose not to participate, stay in the MAIN ROOM while everyone else gets assigned into a breakout room for team formation.
Join our Facebook public group to see the latest and interact with others. Bring a friend. Check out the themes for song sessions in 2022. See you in Zoom before 3 pm EST (8 pm GMT)!
Jeopardy Theme tune: Think!
- Pluck or strum & hum or strum & kazoo or strum & harmonica
- Melody & chords 1-page PDF for either high or low G
Rules
On the day, we will break into several teams in the breakout room in Zoom. These are randomly assigned. You will get to know each other, finding out who is good at strumming, plucking, singing, switching chords, barre chords, song repertoire, and music theory. Then you choose a short name for your team. Why short? To fit on the screen! Elect a spokesperson.
We will go in order of teams 1 to 5, but the starting team number will be drawn randomly. each team has up to 30 seconds to guess the correct answer once the question has finished being read. A lot of the questions require playing as a response.
If a team guesses correctly, it gets another turn but no more. If a team doesn’t guess correctly, it goes to the next team. If the next team guesses correctly, it gets another turn, if not it goes to the team after that. Each team gets a maximum of two turns unless it’s answering the question not answered correctly by the previous team, then it’s three turns.
We will play the Jeopardy Theme tune at the beginning of the game and when the your team’s first 500 category is reached.
