Prior to the pandemic, we assumed all classes were given in-person. Only online classes needed to be labelled. Now that we are STILL in the worldwide pandemic, we have to label classes that are given in-person.
Are we ready for in-person classes?
I say NO. We are NOT ready for an in-person music class. Not yet.
Here are the two classes I hope to have when we are ready for an in-person class. Only one person enquired about an in-person class due to travel arrangements.
Bootcamp: For ukulele players who want to play as much as possible, Ukulele Bootcamp is designed as a workout with bespoke technique exercises each week that provide skills for playing songs. Learn the 20% (chords, strums, common chord progressions, and other skills) you need to play 80% of the songs you want to play. Ideal for the self-taught or those who have not taken classes for awhile. This course can be repeated because it’s different each time. The focus for Winter 2022 is Beatles love songs and Irish songs in line with Valentine’s and St Patrick’s Day. Prerequisite: can read chord diagrams and do the basic up and down strums. Hybrid class in Zoom and in-person. Minimum 8 to run this class. In-person location: Walter Baker Building Common Room, 1231 Adams Street, Boston, MA 02124 (near Milton T-station). Early bird rate does not apply.
8 Saturdays 11:00 – 12:00 EST from 1/29/2022. Ends 3/19/2022. No break.
Ukulele Ensemble: Explore multi-part playing with bespoke arrangements for high G and low G ukulele and bass ukulele or guitar. Prerequisite: fingerstyle ukulele, TAB & PLUCK or equivalent.
