On Thursday 19th December 2024, the final song session in 2024, we celebrate the festive season with holiday songs typical of your cultural tradition. It’s not the first time we share Christmas songs in this joyous season to end the year. Check out 3 Chord Thursday’s sessions in previous years. Hybrid session with potluck and presents at Walter Baker Building in Boston, Massachusetts.
Yankee Swap: exchange of presents of valuable things which you made (yourself) or own or service you provide. Each present is wrapped but labelled with description and hints, such as the following items:
- ukulele accessory: strap, gig bag or case, tuner, music stand, instrument stand, strings
- ukulele book
- published book you wrote
- handmade crochet
- handmade knitted neckwarmer
- handmade quilt
- gift vouchers
Pupu Potluck: pupu in Hawaiian means appetizers or small dishes. Think of this as a tapas or dimsum style finger food. You’re most welcome to bring refreshments (alcoholic beverages included) or in addition to your “pupu.” Paper plates and plastic cups will be provided.

There are many three chord songs but 3 Chord Thursday is not limited to 3 chords!! We always start with a warm up at 3 pm EST followed by two poses for a group photo with our sunglasses and ukuleles. Then we announce our line-up. If there’s no request beforehand, we take impromptu requests and line them up. We aim to end an hour later at 4 pm EST.
