3 Chord Thursday 2025 Ukulele +

We launch the fifth year of 3 Chord Thursday with the theme of ukulele plus to anticipate World Ukulele Day and open our world to other instrumentalists. Which instruments go well with the ukulele? We’ve celebrated World Ukulele Day in past years but never addressed this question. Join us in Zoom to find out. See you on Thursday 30th January 2025!

Most ukulele players are armed with a kazoo. So we are familiar with playing the ukulele and humming the kazoo at the same time. As the human voice is an instrument, we are already multi-instrumentalists when we accompany ourselves singing.

Let’s explore the possibilities in 2025.

Earlier in 2023, we hosted the theme of multi-instrumentalists. Our Zoom session included the nose flute, harmonica, piano, guitar, xylophone, and the shaker.

Examples of Ukulele +

For inspiration, I’ve selected the following playalong videos so we can follow and play along to. I have ordered them from easy to challenging. Let’s start with the easiest to warm up this session in Zoom.
