I am renaming my new work for high G ukulele to fit into a new book I’m putting together. All of the titles start with an action verb. “Six Note Dance in F” is now retitled “Inch with Index Finger” for the left hand (or fretting hand) uses only the index finger to press on either the E-string or A-string of the ukulele.

All twelve progressive pieces contained in the new book have chords, allowing these to be played as duets. By progressive, I mean that they are ordered in increasing difficulty. These are all written for high G ukulele, though the accompaniment can be on either high G or low G ukulele or other instrument, such as guitar.
I am recording a piece each day for the 100 Days of Ukulele 2025 project in the private Facebook Group of the same name.
The “Five Note Dance” has been renamed “Thrive on Five.”

The new book “Pick! Pluck! Play!” Level 1 is intended for beginners to learn to fingerpick. I am also working on Level 2 for intermediate players.
The last page “Ukulele Chords” contains a table of ukulele chord diagrams ordered alphabetically for the chords used in the book.
I’m thrilled about releasing this book as a precursor (prerequisite) to the 12 Chinese Zodiac Suite, which contains three skill levels.
