3 Chord Thurs: Songs without Song Sheets

Join us on Thursday 5th August 2021 for a 3 Chord Thursday thematic song session of songs that don’t require song sheets because we can easily play them from memory or by heart. These can be children’s songs, happy birthday, two or three chord songs — but not Christmas or traditional holiday songs that we don’t sing at this time of the year. Not to be presumptuous, performers who volunteer (sign up) may want to show everyone the chords and ways to memorize the lyrics of the song BEFORE you start playing so everyone can follow you without the song sheet. The theme of next Thursday 12th August is TO THE BEACH.

We aim to start promptly at 3 and end by 4 pm EDT, but usually we run overtime, especially if all 10 song spots get filled. Next Thursday 7/22 is travel.

Three Chord Thursday: NO THEME a.k.a. ANYTHING GOES!

By request, for the FIRST TIME ever, Three Chord Thursday on 17th June 2021 will have no theme. That means we will play songs that don’t have anything in common, other than requiring only a few chords to accompany. As usual, submit your song request if you’d wish to be in the line-up of 10 songs. Here’s an opportunity to share those songs that were in the waiting list of previous song sessions or something you’ve been working on but didn’t fall into any theme or category.
