After recording and editing videos for St Patrick’s Day, I created an Irish music playlist on my YouTube Channel. I am determined to learn more Irish tunes. I need to visit Ireland again, for a different reason. I have not visited the places mentioned in the popular Irish songs: Athenry, Carrickfergus, Galway, to name a few. Why not?

On Thursday 24th March 2022, we introduce instrumental ukulele, what is fingerpicked, plucked, or known as fingerstyle ukulele. We welcome other instrumentalists to join us because you can always play along muted. We have the chord diagrams so you can follow. Please download the linked PDFs of song sheets and scores BEFORE this session as we will not be sharing screen or scrolling. We follow the format of our classical ukulele theme. At 3 pm sharp, we mute everyone to start recording and warm up, which is a short exercise or lesson.

TAB & PLUCK, fingerpickin’ good!

Fingerstyle ukulele refers to using your individual fingers to pluck the individual strings of your ukulele. Interactive online classes (in Zoom) are ideal for this kind of playing because you get to hear yourself. You can focus on producing a good tone.

Voice Over Uke

Voice Over Uke (formerly named Hum & Strum) is a music (group) class focussing on your singing voice. Playing the ukulele while singing helps get your voice in tune, stay in tune, and in time (in sync). However, it’s not immediately obvious.
